Entry for January 14, 2009

On January 1, 2009 our soundman and good friend, Greg Weekley announced that he would be leaving the band in preparation for early retirement and possible relocation to Texas. The band would like to thank Greg for his hard work and comittment, not only for Days Later, but for all of the other bands that he has helped and supported in the past. The band wishes Greg the best in his future endeavors. His wisdom and experience will be missed. We are sure you will still see him with us from time to time; at least we hope so. Forever a member of the band, thanks “Squeak ”

All right guys maybe I will get it posted this time. Jamie sold me your new CD for $476.27 a good deal since he spilt it with the band members–right? Love you buddy. Anyway, every member of our group had a differant favorite. That is always a good sign eh? We wish you well with it. Maybe the day will come when you put away the steel toes and get your name off your shirt. We all hope so. God bless you all for a great 2009. Blessings from our home to each of yours.

It will be so nice to hear you play again. Your vocals are excellent, but I feel it’s the band that sets you apart….you are the best cover band in the valley - such a big, great sound from so few musicians.

Thanks, we try.

ROCK ON (AND ON)

Must agree that the band is the force behind the Days Later sound. I play in a band and realize the skill and huge amout of work it takes to put the music together. Your covers, music and vocals, are 99.9%,…. amazing. With Bryan it can only get better. He’s good. About the only things us rival bands have on you guys is knowing the words and staying away from DJ’s & karaoke (the enemy).

let’s face it - Days Later is without a doubt the best band around. You have the best singers and the best musicians. I’ll be interested in hearing what the new sound guy does to improve an already great group.

Thanks for the props, but for the record… We pull our sets from an ever growing list of songs. We keep the lyrics available as a reminder, not as a crutch. And when someone has a passion for music and singing, whether good or bad, it should be shared whenever and wherever. All that is left is to enjoy. Music is the passion. We should all take every opportunity to enjoy it together.

Personally I don’t care if the singers have words or not, everyone can get confused with so many songs. I think you’re great with or without words.
