On January 1, 2009 our soundman and good friend, Greg Weekley announced that he would be leaving the band in preparation for early retirement and possible relocation to Texas. The band would like to thank Greg for his hard work and comittment, not only for Days Later, but for all of the other bands that he has helped and supported in the past. The band wishes Greg the best in his future endeavors. His wisdom and experience will be missed. We are sure you will still see him with us from time to time; at least we hope so. Forever a member of the band, thanks “Squeak ”

Jamie has just returned from an elk hunt in Wyoming. As he mentioed in an earlier blog comment, they weren’t fortunate enough to bag one although he was able to capture why and how hard they were to find in the picture above.

Summer is about at the half-way point. We have had a great time so far and are very happy that so many of you have joined us for the fun. We endured our normal doses of rain north of the Mason-Dixon Line at times, but it didn’t cause any cancellations. The band would like to thank all of the clubs and event sponsors for their kindness and inviting us to perform. Also, thanks to the Magnolia classes from the 60’s and 80’s for the opportunity to join in on their class reunions. At the 60’s reunion, the band was honored by guest appearances from Tyler Stewart on drums (who proved that the leaf does not fall far from the tree), Jon Stewart (former drummer of the “Pale Breeze”) who joins us regularly and inspires us all and Jo Ellen Snider who brought down the house singing Martina McBride’s “Broken Wing”. Great Job!
The band will be heading back to the studio soon to record our 3rd CD. We have also started booking for 2009. Please check the website regularly for upcoming shows and be there if you can. — The Band

The band has been back in the studio at Sounds Incredible over the past few weeks recording another CD of some of our favorites. The new CD will feature a Days Later original song titled, “I Want to Fall In Love With You Again”, written by Barb Day. There is still a little bit of work to do in the mixing room, but the CD titled, “1 Foot In”, will be available in the very near future. Clips from the CD will be added to the Days Later website CD page. Thanks to Greg Yost, Production Engineer at SI for another great experience.
The band is excited about the spring and summer schedule. Check the website for places and times, then join in on the fun if you can. We really appreciate your support. Summer is almost here ……. it’s about time!

The band spent the day in the “Sounds Incredible” studio yesterday (Saturday, Oct. 6) and started on a long awaited recording project. We had a good time at the session and will be heading back to the studio later this week to finish up on the project. When completed, it will feature 15+ of our favorite songs. There has been a new page added to the web site, “A DAY AT THE STUDIO”, where you will find a few pictures taken during the session. We would like to thank Greg Yost of Sounds Incredible for his hard work and help. A link to the “Sounds Incredible” on-line store can be found on the Days Later “GEAR” page. Look for our 1st CD to be available in the near future.
